Tony Dunlop ImageTony Dunlop - Fairways General Manager

Tony has worked for Fairways for fifteen years during which time he studied at Northern College in Aberdeen where he completed his Diploma in Social Work whilst later graduating from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen with the BA in Social Work Award.

During this time, Tony undertook the role of Care Manager at a North Aberdeenshire Social Work Department in the North East of Scotland. This involved work with many client groups, including some brief work within the Criminal Justice Department. Tony then returned to Fairways in role of Homes Co-ordinator between ‘Dunluce’ and ‘Duncreggan’ before taking on his current position of Fairways General Manager, where he oversees the the running of each of the Fairways sites. 

Tony is a fully qualified PROACT-SCIPr-UK(r) instructor. He and Vikki run many one to three-day workshops throughout the year. This training provides workers with the knowledge to understand behaviour and the skills needed to manage difficult or challenging behaviour. This is set within a deeply positive context, ensuring that each service user with whom they work, wherever it may be, is treated with the dignity and respect that allows for an encouraging and empowering professional relationship. The PROACT-SCIPr-UK(r) course is currently the most advanced and comprehensive course of it's kind and is likely to become the industry standard across the UK & Ireland in the coming years. 

 

Vikki Derbyshire ImageVikki Derbyshire – Project Manager

Vikki has been employed by Fairways for fourteen years. Prior to her employment, Vikki graduated with a BA Hons in Social Policy and Administration from Leeds University in 1992. In 1998, Vikki completed a postgraduate Diploma in Social Work at Magee University. Other qualifications include her NVQ assessor’s award and a Certificate in Residential Management, which she completed at Queens University with Commendation.

Whilst in training, Vikki worked for the Homefirst Community Adult Services Department and then later worked in a Residential Unit for Young People within the Causeway area before returning to Fairways as Home Manager of ‘Dunluce’.

Vikki is also a fully qualified PROACT-SCIPr-UK(r) instructor and works along side Tony in rolling this training right across the Fairways Team.

 

Sonia Bradley ImageSonia Bradley - Home Manager

Sonia has worked at Fairways for sixteen years. During this time, she has fulfilled many roles within the organisation, before being promoted to Manager in 1998. Sonia has a wealth of knowledge and experience, having made her way through various emplyment based education programmes.

Since becoming Manager, Sonia has played the lead role in ensuring that Duncreggan has been eligible for our British Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2000 award which ensures the highest quality provision for our clients.
