Lusty Beg was the agreed venue for our annual holiday - click here to hear all about it and see some of the photos.
Just like with the boat trip on the Shannon, Mother Nature was far from kind. It rained more often than not, but we didn't let that stop us. Trips to Enniskillen, Kesh, the Cinema and countless restaurants kept our minds from the weather.
The welcome on Lusty Beg was splendid and the staff on site couldn't have been more helpful. The Log Cabins were very comfortable, with proper log fires, a balcony that looked immediately onto Lough Erne and all the home comforts you could possibly wish for.
The on site pub and restaurant were very inviting with special culnary delights throughout the week. It was also the perfect venue for the 'night cap' on the way back from our night out.
A very 'dodgey' looking ferry, (which the bus just about fitted on to), a parking ticket by a ruthless warden in Enniskillen (sucessfully appealled!) and a very ropey window wiper motor were the only things to cause any kind of stress whatsoever. Nothing that was going to dampen the holiday spirits. A good time was had by all - the only thing left to decide is where to go to next year. It's normally a fairly big debate which can last in excess of six months, so we'd really need to start now!
